Hunting Draws FAQs
How are the hunting draws conducted?
If you applied for the special licence draws in the last two years, you will receive a special licence draws information
package in the mail. If your address has changed since that last application, you can get the draw booklet online at albertaregulations.ca
(beginning early June 2011) from a private licence issuer, or contact the help desk to have one mailed out to you.

How do I apply for a draw?
You can apply for a draw using 1 of 3 options:
- Online at albertrelm.com
- You will need internet access, a credit card and an email address.
- Cost is $3.65 per application. Charges will appear on your credit card statement as - ALBERTA RELM EDMONTON AB.
- In person at a private licence issuer
- There are over 360 private issuers in Alberta. See listing at:
- Cost is $3.65 per draw application.
- By phone, call our Draw Line at: 1-900-451-DRAW (3729)
Note: cell phones, blackberry phones, internet based digital phones, phones with 1-900 blocked and calling cards cannot
access 1-900 numbers.
Cost is $3.83 for the first minute and $1.15 for each additional minute.
Apply early to avoid possible system access problems. The draw application fee is non-refundable and this levy goes to the
Alberta Conservation Association.
If I am successful in a draw but do not purchase my licence, will I be penalized?
Yes. If you do not purchase your reserved special licence, your draw priority level will be reduced to zero for the next
year.
How are unassigned and quota licences purchased?
You can reserve your licence by calling the draw line.
Undersubscribed special licences are available for reservation on a first-come first-served basis.
